Day 1
Welcome to the North
Arrive in the coastal city of Antofagasta - "the Pearl of the North". Transfer to the hotel, and meet your fellow riders over dinner. Get introduced to the route, and what to expect on this unforgettable journey through northern Chile.
Day 2
The Desert and the Sea
Gear up and prepare the bikes, then ride inland before heading north for a quick introduction to the desert. Descend to the scenic coastal highway, enjoy a fresh seafood lunch in a seaside village, and further up the coastline to Tocopilla.
Day 3
Up the Coast
Ride the breathtaking coastal highway with the Pacific on your left and rugged mountains on your right—often with the road all to ourselves. Arrive in Iquique, a vibrant city known for its rich history, lively culture, and stunning beaches.
Day 4
Into the Highlands
Climb the dramatic escarpment inland to explore the dramatic UNESCO sites of Humberstone and Santa Laura. Cross teh seemingly endless desert to catch the first glimpse of the shimmering salt flats. End the day at a tranquil desert oasis, famed for its lemons and thermal waters.
Day 5
Hidden Valleys & Ancient Footprints
Cross the open desert to a stunning hidden valley, then ride a thrilling route climbing and descening into a remote village rich with ancient petroglyphs and fossilized dinosaur footprints.
Day 6
Explore & Acclimatize
Spend the day exploring the breathtaking valley with a local expert, uncovering its natural and cultural treasures while acclimatizing to the high altitude.
Day 7
Into the Andes
The most adventurous ride of the tour as you climb deep into the Andes, tracing a route parallel to the Bolivian border. Arrive in the remote frontier village of Ollagüe, perched at 3,703 meters and nestled beneath its imposing namesake volcano.
Day 8
Desert Wonders
Ride south through a surreal landscape of salt lakes, rugged mountains, and natural hot springs, arriving in the iconic desert town of San Pedro de Atacama.
Day 9
Rest & Stargazing
Take a break in the charming village of San Pedro de Atacama. Wander its adobe-lined streets, relax, and cap off the day with an unforgettable night of stargazing under some of the clearest skies on Earth.
Day 10
Ride San Pedro’s Best
Spend the day riding through the otherworldly landscapes around San Pedro. Discover the dramatic Moon Valley, scenic mountain passes, and shimmering salt lakes that define the magic of the Atacama Desert.
Day 11
The Final Ride
On your last riding day, journey across the vast desert one final time, descending toward Antofagasta via a remote, lesser-traveled route—ending the adventure with one more unforgettable stretch of open road.
Day 12
Farewell from Antofagasta
Departure Day. After an unforgettable journey, it's time to say goodbye, or maybe a la prochiane.
